    Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 27: In the heart of Andheri West, near Kokilaben Ambani Hospital, an enchanting musical evening unfolded on Sunday 21st January 2024, resonating with soulful melodies and ghazals. The Naushad Academy of Hindustani Sangeet orchestrated a memorable gathering, bringing together a diverse audience to immerse themselves in the richness of Hindustani Classical Music.

    The evening commenced with the mellifluous voice of renowned ghazal singer, Rajinder Singh, presenting a mesmerizing blend of classic Naushad compositions and timeless ghazals. Following this captivating start, Smita Adhikary, accompanied by the talented Tabla player Manoj Bhati and amazing Harmonium player Akhlakh Hussain, graced the stage with a set featuring popular classics and ghazals, including the poignant rendition of Bhupindar Ji’s “Samundaron Me Baras ke” and the soul-stirring “Ruke Ruke Se Qadam.”

    The surprise of the night came when world-renowned Music Composer & Director Uttam Singh took the stage, leaving the audience spellbound with his rendition of “Chitthi Na Koi Sandesh.” The evening unfolded seamlessly, with each performance leaving the audience yearning for more.

    Guided by the expertise of Rehman Naushad, Uttam Singh, and his son a well-known Music Composer – Producer Gurmeet Singh, alongside the meticulous organization by Parmeet Kaur Rana (Mini), the event also featured delectable snacks curated by Janki Modpatel from Bharat Taste House, adding a flavorful note to the memorable evening.

    As the curtains descended on this soul-stirring musical affair, Naushad Academy of Hindustani Sangeet expressed its commitment to organizing more such shows in the near future, promising continued musical enchantment for the city.
