Dhyanguru Raghunath Guruji Takes a Holy Dip at Triveni Sangam, Praises Kumbh Mela Arrangements

Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh) [India], February 25:  Dhyanguru Raghunath Guruji, a trustee of the Girnar Guru Gorakhnath Temple and a well-known palmist, took a sacred dip at Triveni Sangam. During his visit, he praised the arrangements for the upcoming Maha Kumbh Mela and later visited the ashram of Swami Chidanand Saraswati.

Notably, actress Padma Shri Raveena Tandon was also present at the ashram at the same time. Earlier, Bollywood star Katrina Kaif had also visited Swami Chidanand Saraswati to seek blessings.

The Maha Kumbh Mela, one of the world’s largest spiritual gatherings, is held every 12 years in Prayagraj. It is part of a larger cycle in which the Kumbh Mela rotates among four sacred locations—Prayagraj, Haridwar, Nashik, and Ujjain—every three years.

The grand Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 began on January 13 in Prayagraj, with over 400 million devotees expected to take a holy dip at Triveni Sangam throughout the festival.

Spiritual and Religious Importance of Kumbh Mela

According to Dhyanguru Raghunath Guruji, the history of Kumbh Mela comes from the legend of Samudra Manthan (churning of the ocean), where a pot of Amrit (nectar of immortality) was obtained. A fierce battle between the gods and demons lasted 12 days (equivalent to 12 earthly years), and during this time, four drops of Amrit fell on Earth at Prayagraj, Haridwar, Ujjain, and Nashik. This made these locations sacred, and they became the sites of Kumbh Mela.

Planetary Alignments and Their Effect During Kumbh Mela

During the Kumbh period, several significant planetary movements take place:

    • January 3 – The Sun comes closest to the Earth.
    • January 14 – Makar Sankranti, the start of Uttarayan (northward movement of the Sun).
    • Pausha Purnima – Jupiter moves into Aquarius, affecting Earth’s energy fields.

Guruji explained that these planetary alignments create powerful positive energy in the environment, which influences human well-being. The combined influence of the Sun’s cycle and Jupiter’s gravitational pull affects Earth’s atmosphere and energy fields. Every 12 years, the Sun’s solar cycle alters the magnetic field between the poles, impacting Earth’s magnetic winds. According to Faraday’s Electromagnetic Law, the flowing waters of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati intersect these magnetic fields, generating an electric charge. The presence of divine sages, saints, and spiritual seekers enhances the spiritual vibrations, creating a powerful positive energy field in the environment.

Scientific Aspects of Kumbh Snan (Bathing Ritual)

Guruji also highlighted the scientific reasons behind bathing in the holy rivers during Kumbh:

    1. Increased Oxygen Density – The cold climate during this period increases the amount of oxygen molecules in the air, ensuring a purer atmosphere.
    2. Water Purification – The levels of dissolved oxygen (DO) and essential minerals in the waters of Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati reach a perfect balance, making the water highly beneficial for health.
    3. Brainwave Synchronization – The combination of Jupiter’s gravitational pull, the Sun’s solar cycle, and Earth’s magnetic field enhances the Schumann Resonance Frequency, increasing alpha brain waves (8-12 Hz). This leads to deep mental relaxation, peace, and overall well-being.
    4. Improved Biological Clock – After taking a Maha Kumbh Snan, the body’s internal clock aligns with natural rhythms, leading to better physical and mental health.

    Why Kumbh Bathing is Important

Dhyanguru Raghunath Guruji explained that taking a holy dip in the rivers during Kumbh allows the body to absorb positive cosmic energy from Jupiter, the Sun, the Earth, and the Moon. The presence of saints and spiritual seekers enhances the spiritual energy in the environment, bringing mental peace, positivity, and holistic well-being.

Additionally, the pH balance, dissolved oxygen (DO), total dissolved solids (TDS), and minerals in the sacred rivers are at their ideal levels, making the water highly beneficial for health. The morning sunlight, combined with the presence of aquatic plants, increases photosynthesis, further enhancing the oxygen levels in the water.

Kumbh Mela – A Fusion of Science and Spirituality

Dhyanguru Raghunath Guruji emphasized that Kumbh Snan is not just a religious tradition but also has a strong scientific foundation. The unique combination of celestial alignments, spiritual energy, and natural purification makes it a powerful experience for mind, body, and soul.
