    Sarvajanik University Signs MoU with India Accelerator to Boost Startup Ecosystem

    Surat (Gujarat) [India], March 24: Sarvajanik University, Surat, has entered into a strategic partnership with India Accelerator by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on March 24, 2026. The MoU was signed in the presence of Shri Ajit Shah, Vice-Chairman-2, Sarvajanik Education Society and Dr. Kiran Pandya, Provost, Sarvajanik University, whose guidance and vision continue to strengthen the university’s focus on innovation and entrepreneurship. This collaboration aims to strengthen the innovation and startup ecosystem by bridging the gap between academia and industry.

    The MoU was signed between two institutions – Sarvajanik University and India Accelerator. India Accelerator, recognized as one of India’s leading fund-led startup accelerators, brings with it a robust ecosystem of mentorship, funding support, and industry connections. Through this collaboration, startups emerging from Sarvajanik University will gain access to accelerator programs, enabling them to scale and expand globally.

    Key highlights of the partnership include:

    • Access to acceleration programs for university-incubated startups 
    • Mentorship and guidance from industry experts and investors 
    • Support in fundraising, networking, and market access 
    • Internship opportunities for students with startups and accelerator programs 
    • Organization of joint workshops, training sessions, and startup demo days 
    • Development of sector-specific accelerator programs in emerging domains 
    • Facilitation of alumni-driven funding support for startups 

    Additionally, the collaboration will enable structured mentoring, progress tracking, and industry-driven project opportunities, ensuring that student innovations evolve into market-ready solutions.

    Speaking on the occasion, representatives from both organizations emphasized the importance of fostering innovation through collaborative ecosystems that combine academic excellence with industry expertise under the leadership of Dr Kiran Pandya.

    This MoU reflects Sarvajanik University’s commitment to nurturing entrepreneurship and equipping students with the tools, exposure, and support required to succeed in the dynamic startup landscape.

    The partnership is expected to play a pivotal role in promoting innovation-driven growth and creating impactful entrepreneurial ventures in the coming years.
